The oil and oil vapors from the engine 's vent pipes are normally fed back to the intake system .

In a rally car it is not desirable even more so when Tuned engines can produce more steam that could degrade engine performance .

The solution to this problem is to mount a collection tank . ..
Mocal tanks are of very high quality, made of aluminum alloy, are designed to be installed in the engine compartment .

The hose on the side lets you see when it's time to empty the tank through the drain plug in the bottom .
