Oil catch tanks are tanks that collect fumes and used oil residues in order to clean the vicinity of the engine to make it work better. Oil and oil vapors from the engine's vent pipes are normally fed back to the intake system. In addition, the oil catch tanks have a hose on the side allowing you to check when it's time to empty the tank via the drain plug in the bottom.
