Application

Worm-drive / clamping hose clamps are a basic solution for leak-tight fastening of hoses in automotive applications. They are used to clamp hoses onto barbs and pipes in systems such as: cooling (coolant hoses), intake and intercooler, vacuum / crankcase ventilation (PCV) as well as service-fluid lines. Screw adjustment allows the diameter to be set quickly and provides a secure clamping force, reducing the risk of the hose slipping off and leaks during vibration and temperature changes. They work well for repairs, modifications, and vehicle servicing—both in a workshop and in a garage.

Material grade details

W2 – stainless steel band and housing, with the screw usually zinc-plated steel (mixed construction); good corrosion resistance in typical conditions.

Application: cooling system hoses (upper/lower radiator hose), heater hoses, vacuum / PCV lines.

W4 – all components made of stainless steel (band, housing and screw); the highest corrosion resistance in harsh conditions.

Application: intake and intercooler (boost) hoses, cooling hoses near the front end, connections exposed to water and road salt (wheel arch/underbody areas).
