2-PIECE FLOATING FRONT BRAKE DISCS

• Each disc is cast from high carbon G3500 alloy which has a high carbon and copper content for excellent thermal conductivity as well as very good abrasive properties. In the production process, EBC Brakes uses a center split casting, which allows the production of discs less susceptible to deformation at high temperatures (such a problem is common when using standard, cheap casting methods). This ensures maximum durability and performance of the brake disc, especially during high-performance rally or racing driving. In addition, there are cuts on the discs, responsible for removing dust residues from the pad linings and reducing the gas pressure between the pad and the disc.
• EBC Racing discs are equipped with 48 internal, directional (right-left) ventilation chimneys, whose task is to cool the disc.
• The flange (so-called bell) used in EBC Racing discs is precisely cut from a piece of aluminum used in the aerospace industry, making it strong and lightweight.The flange is anodized black, thanks to which it has high resistance to corrosion and high aesthetic values. The flange can be used for various brake discs.
• One of the smallest yet most innovative components used in EBC Racing discs are the stainless steel SD-Drive™ bolts that secure the flanges to the disc. Unlike most competitor bolts which are machined from steel and then galvanized to reduce cost, our SD-Drive™ screws are manufactured from a single piece of stainless steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. Each screw is equipped with a spring clip to absorb vibrations, resulting in quiet operation while driving.
  
  

4-PISTON APOLLO SERIES FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPERS

• The Apollo series brake calipers feature a two-piece design held together by high-strength class 12.9 steel bolts to reinforce the caliper structure. FEA computer analysis shows that the use of high-strength steel bolts to reinforce the bridge results in a significant improvement in clamp stiffness compared to a single-block design. A stiffer stem section means less stretch under braking, resulting in a firmer, more responsive brake pedal feel. especially with heavy use, when the aluminum bridge with monobloc clamp softens significantly with increasing temperature.
