The Ecumaster PMU (Power Management Unit) power distribution module is a device that completely eliminates the fuse and relay box in the automotive installation. The module is fully programmable and has a number of strategies, such as sequential switching on and off of devices, device restart in the event of a failure or overvoltage, subsequent switching off in the event of a voltage drop in a specific order, and LEDs indicating the operating status of individual outputs. PMU significantly simplifies the car harness, reduces the weight of the entire installation and protects the car against expensive breakdowns.

TECHNOLOGY

The PMU is assembled according to IPC-S-815A standards to ensure product reliability. The device is manufactured on an automated assembly line with optical control and automatic testing (including burnout). PCB material and construction, special surface coating and IP60 housing ensure reliability even in the harshest conditions. Carefully selected components allow continuous and reliable operation in a very wide range of temperatures (AECQ-100 GRADE 1 (-40 to +125˚C).

FUNCTIONALITY

An additional advantage of the PMU system is the ability to define the logic of controlling the outputs. This is done using either analog input channels or CAN bus data, and math operations can be defined for each channel. The PMU is also equipped with LED indicators to show the status of each output. Thanks to the use of CAN bus manipulators or switches on the steering wheel, all wiring is much simplified and lighter. Two unique features are the built-in accelerometer and gyroscope for logging, and an "inertial switch" in the event of an accident.
