DP32139C - EBC Brakes REDSTUFF series brake pad set
- Front axle
Product Description
DESCRIPTION
REDSTUFF automotive brake pads, are chosen by our customers mainly for two reasons. First, because, with dust emissions reduced by 60-90%, they are in this respect the best product that can be found on the market. And these minimal amounts of dust are easily removed by simple washing off, as they do not contain steel fiber particles, as is the case with pads from the rest of the EBC Brakes series and other brake pad manufacturers. Secondly, they brake just as well as the original pads from cold, and work even more effectively when warmed up. The pads are made of Aramid fiber-based friction composite reinforced with ceramic sintering. Compared to the earlier generation of EBC Redstuff pads (with friction linings without ceramic admixture), this material is light years ahead. It is more durable, brakes better and is quieter. These pads provide impressive performance under frequent heavy braking. Compared to semi-metallic brake pads, they emit significantly less dust and are capable of braking a classic limousine, sports compact car, or tuned hatchback from 160 km/h in up to 13 meters shorter compared to the original replacement part. They are coated with a special brake-in coating developed by EBC that preserves the surface of the discs and speeds up the lapping process. The nominal coefficient of friction is equal to 0.5 with a reduction of about 50% in dust emissions. They are particularly applicable to four-wheel drive cars like Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo, and are also excellent for heavier cars like BMW M3/M5 and Audi A4/A6.
