Polycarbonate windows by IRP
The offered windows are available in thicknesses of 3-5mm. For drifting, driving on the track we recommend windows with a thickness of 3-4mm, stiffer windows for rallies in accordance with FIA regulations are 4mm thick, for more demanding we recommend windows with a thickness of 5mm.
The windows have double-sided UV protection, which prevents them from becoming dull under the influence of sunlight. The windows are cut with great precision and attention to detail thanks to the use of CNC technology. Each of the projects has been prepared for a specific car and tested.
Polycarbonate windows significantly increase safety, impact damage to the material is theoretically impossible. In practice, damage to the glass is possible only after many cycles of strong impacts.
By using polycarbonate windows, we additionally reduce the weight of the car and lower the center of gravity. Compared to the original glass density of 2.7 kg/dm^3, polycarbonate with a density of 1.2 kg/dm^3 allows for more than a twofold reduction in the weight of the window with the same thickness. Additionally, when using polycarbonate windows, the window lowering mechanism can be removed.
