A poliuretán határozottan jobban ellenáll a kopásnak, mint a gumi. A poliuretán perselyek hosszabb ideig tartanak, még extrém üzemi körülmények között is.
Merevebbek, mint a gumi, így jobb kezelhetőséget és a jármű feletti uralmat biztosítanak, különösen kanyarodás és fékezés közben.
